Expo Fountain - Dubai World Expo - 2020

I choreographed all water and light shows for the Dubai Expo Fountain, comprising over 2.5 hours of immersive experiences for the public. By day, audiences can cool down in waves that crash down and disappear right at your feet. By night, each wavefront appears to glow from within. The more agitated the water, the more varied and luminous the colors that illuminate each wave. The color choreography was inspired by aurora borealis or blooms of bioluminescent plankton in an effort to create an artificial natural phenomena.

HSBC Rain Vortex at Changi Airport, Singapore. - 2019

While working for WET Design, I oversaw the water and light shows in my role as lead choreographer for the HSBC Rain Vortex, which we opened in April 2019. By day, rainwater is recycled to create a barrage of white water that falls 7-stories in a column of water. By night, we created an immersive projection system that surrounds the waterfall, creating a holographic display of light that is suspended midair in torrents of falling water.
